JuraLaw was created by Law Bulletin Media, a family-owned business that's been providing the legal industry with unparalleled products and technology-based services for five generations.
Technology Driven Legal Calendar Management
JuraLaw was the first 100% web-based national legal calendar management system introduced in March 2012. JuraLaw’s predecessor, DM 2000, was the first legal calendar management system on the market in 1984. Completely web-based technology means users have access to the JuraLaw system wherever they have a browser connection. Another benefit of being completely web-based is that your IT resources are not needed to ensure that you are always using the product with the most current updates. New releases and updates automatically become available the next time you log in. JuraLaw is cloud-hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS), which provides superior data security and disaster recovery.
Over 100 Years of Family Ownership
In 1854, the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin became the first daily source of court information. Twenty-five years later, Henry James Macfarland Sr. bought the company and it has remained in Chicago, under the leadership of his family, for five generations. The company’s heritage and dedication to create innovative products and technology driven services that allow law firms to prosper, remains solidly at its core today. In 2017, the company changed its name to Law Bulletin Media due to its leading role as a digital information provider to the legal industry.
Today, Macfarland’s great grandsons, Sandy and Brewster, guide the direction of Law Bulletin Media. They believe an important ingredient for future success will be to keep a watchful eye on emerging technologies and use them as a key foundation in creating practical solution-based tools for the legal profession.
